Finding Chart Program
The USNO-A2.0 finding chart program will enable you to extract and plot
all stars in a specified field of view which are listed in the USNO-A2.0
catalog. Before you run this program, you will need the following information:
- Astronomical coordinates of the field center (J2000.0)
- Width of the field of view, in units of degrees
- A desired magnitude range for the finding chart (optional)
There are two forms you can choose between for requesting you finding charts:
-
Basic Form: requires only minimal input information and produces
finding charts oriented as viewed at the 61-inch telescope console.
-
Detailed Form: allows user to enter more options, including
alternate orientations for the sky charts (and includes pixel retrieval).
